Baptisms

“See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?”

Zagreb, February 25, 2024 (IBA) -

On February 25, 2024, a baptism service was held in the Zagreb Baptist Church, where five people confirmed their faith in Jesus Christ by baptism.

Before the act of baptism, Pastor Željko Mraz, General Secretary of the Union of Baptist Churches in the Republic of Croatia (SBC RH), delivered a message from the Bible.

According to Pastor Mraz, with the act of baptism, our past is redeemed, the present is safe, and the future is guaranteed. As written in the Epistle to the Romans in chapter 8, there is now no condemnation now for those who are in Christ Jesus.

We are redeemed by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and that is our true identity, emphasized Pastor Mraz, who concluded the message with the words written in the Epistle to Romans 8:38-39: For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The act of baptism was led by BC Zagreb pastor Filip Grujić, who baptized Aida, Benjamin, Ivanica, Jan and Nataša. After the baptism, pastor Grujić invited the church to prayer for the newly baptized, which was led by the deacons and deaconesses of the church.

After the service, socializing continued with a reception held on the church premises.
